Dungeon24: Month 2 – Days Five and Six

AREA B5: STATUARY HALL

In the center of this chamber stands an 11 foot tall statue of a man wearing a simple band crown on his head, a simple Elitarian style shield on his left arm and holding a long spear in his right hand. The inscription of the plinth reads “Cyaxares I, King of Heaven” in Ancient Elitarian (Decipher Script DC 20).

Monster: A lantern archon has been summoned and bound to this room to protect the tomb from further intrusion.

AREA B6: ANTECHAMBER TO THE ROYAL TOMB

The stone chamber once served as the mortuary chapel from which the people could offer up their prayers to the deified king. Most of the furnishings in the room were burned out recently and the smell of burning oil can still be scented on the air.

Door: This iron (Break DC 28; 60 hp, 10 Hardness) door is locked (Open Lock DC 25) and trapped with a fire trap (CR 3; spell; spell trigger; no reset; spell effect (fire trap, 3rd-level druid, 1d4+3 fire, DC 13 Reflex save half damage); Search DC 27; Disable Device DC 27).
